Shamshera marks Ranbir Kapoor’s comeback after Sanju. Talking about the film, the Background music sets the elevation moments while the plot is cliché. Action sequences are well choreographed and the dance in the songs are well done. This period drama is visually stunning with certain extremely bright moments.

Talking about the screenplay, first half execution is fine while the second half improves but on the whole, gels well with the plot. 

Talking about performances, 

Ranbir Kapoor & Ronit Roy have done a good job. The story is basic with 2 Ranbir Kapoors offering light hearted, emotional and serious moments. The film is a one time watch. Screen writing could have been improved in order to make the film look more appealing. However, it could be a treat for Ranbir Kapoor fans. One tip is, when you walk into the cinemas, dont walk with Gigantic expectations.
