Review By Nishit Shaw:

The film revolves around issues in the system that look extremely convincing. The film throughout is serious and dark with some comic elements infused at regular intervals throughout.

Talking about the story, it is not very complex and hence it is watchable. After a tiring day, you don’t want to go and use all your brains in understanding the film. Hence, the film is about Rajkummar Rao playing the role of a cop who is named Vikram. Vikram in Hit The First Case is solving a kidnapping case. The movie proceeds with entertainment and action, clue findings etc to offer a cinematic experience.

With a highly predictable plot, Rajkummar Rao manages to impress the audience by emerging out of the script and shining bright with his impeccable performance. All scenes, be it emotional or situational, were nailed by him as a performer.

The film’s narration is not flawed as its simple, character writing could have been better as Sanya Malhotra gets very little scope to show her true potential as a phenomenal actor. The climax of the film will make you understand that a sequel is already planned however the climax could have been stronger.

Overall the film is a decent watch.
